PREMIÈRE ORGANISATION POUR LA CONSERVATION DU PATRIMOINE SUR L'INTERNET

Projet complété en 1993

Après le symposium L'informatique et la conservation qui s'est tenu à Québec durant l'été de 1992, un comité ad hoc de membres d'ICOMOS Canada s'est rassemblé pour offrir ce service à la communauté internationale du monde de la conservation du patrimoine. Un ordinateur, une connection à l'Internet et une ligne téléphonique furent offerts au groupe. C'est à l'aide de ce matériel qu'ICOMOS.ORG fut créé et devint le premier domaine du monde de la conservation du patrimoine inscrit sur l'Internet. Venez voir le site au http://www.icomos.org

After the Computers in Conservation symposium held in Quebec City in summer 1992, an ad hoc group of ICOMOS Canada members got together to present this service to the conservation community. A computer, an Internet feed and a telephone line was donated. With this ICOMOS.ORG was created and became the first heritage preservation domain on the Internet.Visit it at http://www.icomos.or
