Flowcharts of skills needed for architects, engineers, landscape architects and technicians in the field of heritage conservation were prepared by the Engineering and Architecture Services of the Department of Environment during the late 1980s. These flowcharts were the basis for preparing specialized training courses for the professionals working for the conservation of Canada's national historic properties. One of the main artisans of this material was P. Eng. Ghassan Attar Hassan, early member of the Restoration Services of the Department of Indian Affairs and Northern Development.
